The Meadow Burke HF- 42 Precast Embed Hanger is designed for use in concrete beams only. Hangers are installed in the wet concrete during casting of the precast beams. Care must be exercised to prevent hanger “sinking into the concrete” and to provide a 1/4 inch setback from the sideform. Load calculations must be made to ascertain that any predetermined hanger spacing is compatible with actual job loading conditions. The front leg of the HF-42 provides for a 2 inch (minimum) clearance from the sideform.
